Argentina: uniform rules for iGaming advertising
Argentina has set nationwide standards for online gambling advertising for the first time, the Ministry of Economy approved Resolution No. 446/2025, effective December 3, 2025, which regulates the format, content and responsibility of advertisers.
Basic provisions
- All ads are required to contain a «Compulsive Play is Healthy» warning and a «+18» label»
- Warnings must be visible throughout the advertisement and occupy at least 10% of screen height
- Inscriptions - bold, contrasting colors, across the entire width of the bottom of the advertisement
- Influencers are required to keep a warning on the screen during all integration
- In radio advertising, the warning is read at the end without musical accompaniment
- Violations are punished under Consumer Protection Law No. 24.240 and Commercial Loyalty Decree 274/2019
What has changed
- The resolution repeals the previous No. 12/2024 and forms the first federal standard for iGaming advertising
- An official channel has been created for complaints about violations
- The new rules unify requirements between provinces and the federal level
Context
Until now, gambling advertising in Argentina has been regulated in different ways at the regional level. It has created legal gaps and difficulties for operators. The new law makes the system unified and emphasizes the priority of social responsibility.
However, regional differences in iGaming regulation continue to exist in Argentina, and the federal bill has not yet been fully adopted in all areas.
Conclusion
Argentina moves to centralised and more responsible regulation of iGaming advertising, a step towards greater transparency for operators and, for players, enhanced content protection and control.
