Bybit exchange closed registration for users from the Philippines
You can't register from a Philippine ip address, nor is a local area code number (+63) suitable for registration.
The decision came after the Securities and Exchange Commission of the Philippines (SEC) tightened controls on crypto exchanges.
During the current year, the SEC has repeatedly issued official warnings to Bybit and nine other foreign crypto exchanges. The agency points out that such platforms actually operate as service providers with virtual assets and, according to the legislation, are required to have a representative office in the country and obtain the appropriate license from the SEC.
Bybit has not met any of these requirements.
Although registration is closed, the platform is still available to users from the Philippines who registered earlier. However, this is likely to be temporary.
