Instead of relying on the well-established indexes and ranking systems of Bing and Google, AI-powered search platforms are indexing the internet at breakneck speed and will soon create their own underlying systems. This is much easier said than done, but I believe it will happen. And remember, ChatGPT and Perplexity were recently found to be parsing Google search results, leading Google to disable the num=100 parameter.
AI platforms don't want to rely on such third-party data. It's not a long-term strategy.

In the meantime, they need to learn how to counter mediocre spam.
