An interrogation of a top pharma webmaster. Part 1.
I was once reminiscing about the times when pharma affiliates were on a roll. They essentially formed a movement of affiliate seoshnikovs in the CIS.
Back then, in my 15 I was able to sell Rx-Promotion banner on my SEO blog for 150$ per month and thought life was good
And now I got a chance to ask questions to a seoshnik who is still in pharma and making $30K+ per month. This is RX John Galt.
- What's going on with pharma right now? Is it alive?)
Pharma has been buried for over a decade now, as has SEO in general. In fact, those who couldn't adapt fell off. Those who can find ways and come back - they stayed in the game.
The situation today is radically different from 2013-2015. Partnerships are closing, the market is changing, but pharma is alive, and guys are making money. Paradoxically, but now the competition is lower than 10-15 years ago, and it is easier to move.
There is an opinion that it is unrealistic to get into pharma now, as the entry threshold is high. But if you have an understanding of SEO, it is enough to read 5 - 10 posts in my channel - there are already burned key and available GEO with tabs, plus a breakdown of pitfalls and their solutions, as well as answers in the chat.
It's the same as always - less theory, more action. Even if not perfect!
In my review for 2023, the monthly profit of top affiliates in known affiliates was from $100K to $500K and this information was officially confirmed by representatives of networks.
My team and I got back into the game last year. We are now holding the bar at $30K per month and are rocking with the goal of reaching $80K by the end.
- I know you made attempts at gambling, but you went back to pharma anyway. What happened?
I have and will continue to have gembla leads. I know SEOs who went there from pharma and feel great. And vice versa - gambling teams dive into pharma to diversify and make money too.
Example: an acquaintance of mine from gembla with whom we have a mutual exchange of cases - I walk him through pharma, he walks me through gembla - working history.
Seems to me - the difficulty in the niches is very similar. You can't say that gembla is harder and pharma is easier. Traffic is hard to get there and there. But if you take out pharma, you can handle gembla, and vice versa.
I will definitely get into gembla, but a little later. Right now my focus on pharma is profit, growth and stability. As soon as that is closed - I will dive in with my head and maximum focus into a new topic.
- Are there any other public webmasters left in the pharma niche besides you?
In 2025, I don't know of any public webmasters who are systematically channeling and pumping pharma.
There used to be a lot of them - blogs, forums and all the traffic. Now everything is dead, except for a couple of abandoned channels and irrelevant blogs. There are no real live ones.
