CHAPTER 13: GTS
Playtech buys 100 percent of Gaming Technology Solutions Limited (GTS). The purchase of GTS was a turning point: the company ceased to be only a developer of its own games and became a global content aggregator controlling the distribution and technological infrastructure of the industry.
CHAPTER 14: THE HEART
While Teddy Sagi was fighting for assets in the iGaming world, an equally fierce battle for his heart. The finalists were Miss Israel - Yael Nizri, and supermodel Bar Rafaeli, who dumped Leonardo DiCaprio for the sake of it.
CHAPTER 15: B2G GAMBLING
Having gained a strong foothold in B2B and B2C (through its own brands) gambling, Playtech, under the leadership of Teddy Sagi, has moved on. The next target: B2G Gambling. Through a joint venture with Scientific Games, Playtech decided to help bring online state lotteries in the UK, Canada, Greece and the Nordic countries.
CHAPTER 16: TOTALIZERS
There are two main forms in betting: bookmakers and totalizators. In the second one there are no fixed odds and the operator can not go into a minus. Playtech continues its expansion and enters the British totalizator market through Sportech plc.
CHAPTER 17: BINGO
Online bingo, a very popular iGaming sub-vertical in the UK. And also players in bingo rooms are easily transitioning to slots and other aggressive forms of gambling. Entering the bingo market, this is the next step for Teddy Saga and Playtech.
CHAPTER 18: MOBILE TRAFFIC
In 2011, the desktop ruled the iGaming world. Button phones were the norm, and the possibility of a symbiosis between gambling and a smartphone was highly doubted by many. But just like 12 years ago, Teddy Sagi was looking a few moves ahead. Playtech entered the mobile gambling market, once again predicting the future trend.
