Dear Aff from the channel SEO for DEP$ / iGaming shared an interesting case study about how an affcom team raised USD 1.3 mln for the development and SEO-promotion of a gambling website, and in the end the site never got much traffic.
Among many other details, agree with the author that the gambling affsite itself is... shall we say, too high quality for the average player. And too complex.
If we understand correctly, the idea is that a player gets to such a site, evaluates the quality of content, conditionally puts the site into bookmarks and then regularly uses it to find the most suitable bonus offers.
The idea is right, if the site has really high-quality content. And here is an important point: the content should be «quality» from the players« point of view. This is very rare. And »quality« from the player's point of view is absolutely not the same as »value".
Rarely, but we encountered such affsites. They really attracted players like a magnet. Once on such an affsite, a player would stay there for years. The sites were blocked - players continued to visit them via VPN. In most cases this is author's content written by a player for players, exploiting various myths and conspiracy iGaming-theories, which the author himself sincerely believes in.
But different types of iGaming content is a very extensive topic, which should be written about separately, and not in one post.
