A law completely banning offshore iGaming operators has come into force in the Philippines

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr signed On October 23, 2025, Republic Act 12312, completely banning offshore iGaming operators from operating in the country, a new law repeals RA 11590, which regulated POGO taxation.

For the first violation, the penalty is 6-8 years in prison and a fine of $5.1-256 thousand, for the second 8-10 years and $256-511 thousand, for the third 10-12 years and $511-852 thousand. Maximum sentences are provided for civil servants, foreigners will be deported forever after serving their sentence.
