A little bit about Rome.
Every time I come back here, I catch myself thinking that this is probably one of the most beautiful cities on the planet. Rome cannot simply be «visited» - it can only be lived.
Italians are fun, boisterous, stylish and always with a sense of their own charm. Here, they even stand for coffee like they are on a catwalk.
I discovered a local cult drink - Campari Spritz. It feels like they drink it here in liters, from morning to night, and still remain awake and beautiful.
The food is divine. And yes, the pizza here strictly evening meal. Try to order it at lunchtime and they will politely but firmly explain to you that you are violating the Italian laws of the universe.
☕️ And never order a cappuccino after 11:30 - it's almost sacrilege.
I definitely recommend taking a tour for at least a couple days - the city is so deep and multi-layered that you won't even have time to see half of it yourself.
⚠️ On the downside, there's crime. They steal cleverly. During the first day of the conference we already had one RM bag and someone's watch «gone». So keep your things close to your body and your head on your shoulders.
Other than that. Rome is beautiful. Juicy, bustling, vibrant. A city you return to not for the sights, but for the feeling of being back in the center of the world.
