Offshore operators step up marketing in India after iGaming ban

After the law banning online gambling in India came into force, offshore operators began aggressive promotion of their platforms, offering players generous bonuses. This is reported by the Tamil Nadu Online Gaming Regulatory Authority (TNOGA).

The most active operators are 1xBet, Parimatch, JackBit, Odds96 and 4RaBet:

• 4RaBet has launched the biggest promotion ever: 700% deposit bonus on all games
• JackBit is offering 500% on your first deposit
• Parimatch - no deposit bonuses up to 150%
• 1xBet - welcome bonus 120% on first deposit

TNOGA said it will send notices to Meta and Google demanding an explanation of how advertisements of illegal operators are moderated. The agency also plans to submit thousands of identified promotional links to the Advertising Standards Council of India for examination and to check sports organizations and bloggers for illegal promotion of offshore sites.

Meanwhile, a single online gambling regulator OGAI has been launched in the country. The new body will be in charge of issuing licenses and monitoring operators' compliance with the law banning virtual games for real money. At the same time, the authorities are working on the creation of a national register of authorized social online games.
