I try to adjust my promotion strategy every time and for the last year and a half I've been watching KP in the public domain + requesting for fictitious sites: agencies of different sizes, including seoshniki with channels. Even 1 time bought promotion to see how others work)
Maybe my Jungian shadow side speaks for me and that's why I was so bombarded by some CPs, but here's what a standard CP looks like:
- All KP is water under water:
- 90% of how fucked up we are.
- 10% how we will promote the site
- 0% of information that we (the business) will get out of it.
- The «riddle of the century» level formulations»
A set of formulations, figures and facts that not everyone can understand even with neural networks. I showed my webmaster and marketers a number of KPs - no one understands what it says. How can a person who has just been given the task of choosing a SEO understand?
Here's an example of the wording:
We'll cluster semantics and optimize content entities for intents to boost trust signals in search engine algorithmic patterns.
- Growth points that have no effect on the growth of the site.
I sent a site that has a score of 1.6 on Maps out of 700 reviews. How can you promote such a site on SEO?
And in the same CP in separate section display information about the importance of placing the HTML sitemap.
- Opaque terms and a bunch of details remain undisclosed in the CP.
Imagine, 56 sheets of KP of which the price was not in the KP. It was just a line in a telegram. Something like this: cost 40,000 rubles.
- Price dumping.
Offer a super low price in hopes of hooking a potential customer.
For example. A person is told the cost of 15 t.r. for a competitive niche. A person sees that the price is much lower, but the work plan is the same no one understands, a person just does not see the difference, the main thing that is cheaper.
What are the common problems in KP:
- There is no answer to the main question: what businesses get
About redesigning dialog in a format like this:
- «We need to do a redesign.».
- «Why?»
- «Well you want more customers, don't you?»
- Compound words instead of simple language
CPs should be written in such a way that anyone can understand what they are paying for and what they will get.
My subjective opinion: out of all the CPs from all over the Internet, only after two of them I had a full understanding of what we should do now to get an increase in traffic. In other cases, my feeling was: well, we will do something, and then we will get something (I guess?).
Why I did it. My perspective on the situation
When I started looking at KP a year and a half ago, I thought I might be missing some aspects of SEO and would look up new growth points to suggest to clients.
Some will find this not quite an ethical way to optimize their work - I look forward to your comments)
But I managed to realize that my promotion strategy does not differ from any level of agencies, my work plan is relevant and the points of growth that I give to clients are equally given by other agencies and SEO performers. It is especially important for me that I collected the best methods of optimization from different agencies: someone was doing well semantics or links - I took the best. And that's how my SEO work plan was formed.
