Tested the ChatGPT Atlas browser. The result was (not) surprising
OpenAI announced a bunch of cool features in their browser, but I got hooked on the ability to invoke chat right on the site page and ask questions about its content. Okay, I think this will make the job of our raters, who collect information about bonuses and other facts from the sites of bouquets and casinos, a hell of a lot easier. And not only aigeming authors this chip will be useful. I'm off to test it.
Took two scenarios:
- Requested information on welcome bonuses on the bookmaker and casino websites
- It handles simple tasks, but not the first time.
- 1xbet gave the size of the bonus without specific amounts, the example was in euros, although the site displayed Uruguayan pesos. All the information on limits was there.
- On the site of the casino with the first time gave the general information about bonuses in principle, with the second attempt - specifics.
- Asked me to count the number of sports at the beech and slots at the casino.
- This is where ChatGPT failed completely. Task failed.
- It asks to go to the right page - for example to the slots page in the casino, even though we are already there.
- When I turned on agent mode, Chat started climbing around the site, «clicking» on different places, but eventually gave out information from other reviews. Thank you for the sources.
The verdict so far is this:
The browser gives you information that you can find on the page yourself. But more complex tasks that really save time (like counting items) don't work yet.
But imagine if Atlas had worked properly!
This is what I'd like to see in future updates:
- Quick competitor analysis - you can be asked to gather key chips from a competitor's website in a couple of clicks.
- Generate meta descriptions based on page content if the browser reads the information correctly.
- Potentially - collecting semantics and keywords from pages, but this should be tested separately.
- Save time on data collection for content plans.
If everything worked as it should, this tool would be worth it
In the meantime, we wait for updates ♀️
Have you tested it yet? What interesting scenarios will you use in your work and life?
