It's such a super-debatable question, everyone will say differently, no matter who you ask. They will send you to the output to look at subdomains or folders, and there both.
Personally, I do not use subdomains, somehow I am so sure that the trust of the common domain in this case works better. In addition - almost always we need the whole country and these subdomains - just an attempt to get up in all cities to the maximum, not just in seven.

If you really want to be a national store, a single domain site.ru is much more advantageous.
