Argentina has approved the first regulation of online gambling advertising
Ministry of Economy approved resolution No. 446/2025 introducing the first federal regulation on iGaming advertising The document obliges all promotional materials to contain a warning «Compulsive play is harmful to health» and a «+18» label throughout the integration.
Basic advertising requirements:
- Warnings must be at least 10% of screen height, located at the bottom and bold with contrasting colors.
- Influencers are required to display warnings in any online gambling promotion.
- In radio advertising, the warning is read at the end without musical accompaniment.
- Violators will be fined under Consumer Protection Law No. 24.240 and Commercial Loyalty Decree 274/2019.
The document repeals the previous resolution No. 12/2024 and creates a single federal standard for iGaming advertising. A channel for complaints against violators has also been introduced, which will strengthen control over compliance with the rules throughout the country.
