Argentina approves first regulation of online gambling advertising
Ministry of Economy approved Resolution No. 446/2025, introducing the first federal regulation of iGaming advertising. The document obliges all advertising materials to contain the warning «Compulsive gambling is harmful to health» and the label «+18» throughout the integration.
Basic advertising requirements:
- Warnings must occupy at least 10% of the screen height, be placed at the bottom, and be bold with contrasting colors.
- Influencers are required to display warnings with any promotion of online gambling.
- In radio commercials, the warning is read out at the end without musical accompaniment.
- Violators will be fined under Consumer Protection Law No. 24.240 and Commercial Loyalty Decree 274/2019.
The document repeals the previous Resolution No. 12/2024 and creates a single federal standard for iGaming advertising. It also introduces a channel for complaints against violators, which will strengthen enforcement throughout the country.
