Operatives of TCDC (Transnational Crime DataCenter) calculated the address in the resort city of Pattaya, from where illegal iGaming activity was carried out on GEO: India.
The policemen who went to the address detained 5 Indian nationals working at the laptops. Besides laptops, cell phones, tablets and credit cards were seized. The results revealed transaction information in Indian Rupees amounting to about $60k. According to the police, the detainees were working to make deposits for players based in India.
TCDC (Transnational Crime DataCenter)
TCDC is Thailand's one-stop government center for internet scanning, collection, analysis and information sharing on transnational crime and cybercrime, coordinating information flows between police and other law enforcement units dealing with immigration control, cybercrime, drug trafficking and financial crimes.
Under Thai law, it is a criminal offense to operate, manage finances, advertise and promote websites in the iGaming field.
