    Kahnawake Gaming Commission (KGC)

  • Licence classes:

    1. Interactive Gaming Licence (IGL). Allows the holder to operate a data centre and provide internet services to operators with a CPA licence. Mohawk Internet Technologies (MIT) has been the exclusive holder of the IGL since 1999.
    2. Client Provider Authorisations (CPA). Allows various online games such as casino, baccarat, slots, bingo, poker and others. The main licence applied for by iGaming operators in Kahnawake.
    3. Casino Software Provider Authorisations (CSPA). Permits companies to host servers in the IGL holder's data centre and provide casino software to operators, but does not authorise them to offer gambling directly.
    4. Live Dealer Studio Authorisations (LDSA). Allows for the location and operation of live dealer studios on Kanawake property.
    5. Inter-Jurisdictional Authorisations (IJA). Issued to entities with a similar licence, but from another jurisdiction, who wish to locate equipment or personnel in Kanawake.
    6. Key Person Permits. There are two types of so-called key persons - they work for an IGL or CPA licence holder to perform key management or operational functions.
